The Kimberley coast, north-western Australia, is known for its spectacular scenery, pristine wilderness regions and high biodiversity of plant and animal life. It is a region in need of continued protection, to ensure that these ecosystems continue to exist in the future.
This project is dedicated to studying and protecting the Australian Snubfin Dolphin, and the associated inshore habitat and ecosystem that support these animals. We work throughout the Kimberley, in partnership with indigenous groups, WWF, and government bodies. Throughout this website you will find information on the dolphins, the ecology of the region, our research and the community involvement in this work.
This website is interactive, and we invite members of the community to record and submit their sightings online (click here) or to check out what’s going on in Broome and throughout the Kimberley with this project.
